Why choose Tarmac for a new drive?
Tarmac can often take less time to lay than stone paving, so your new drive might be completed in just a single day. The perfect option if you need to quickly add some extra parking or finish off new build.
Tarmacadam is hard-wearing and low-maintenance, yet very affordable and fits into many irregular shaped areas. It also helps maintain a permeable surface for good drainage in the changeable UK weather.
From simple square driveways to complex shapes with additional levels, a tarmac drive can be an excellent choice for a high-traffic area. We are a reliable local tarmac fitting company, with many reference jobs available to view if requested. We look forward to discussing your tarmac requirements.
How do we lay a tarmac driveway?
All our tarmac driveways are first dug out and stoned up to a thickness of 4 - 8 inches (10 - 20cm), depending on the ground underneath. Type 1 Hardcore is applied and compacted with a roller to create the right foundation for the top layers.
The tarmac is then laid in two layers - the base course will be around 2 inches (50mm) thick when rolled and the top course will be around 1 Inch (25mm) thick when rolled. Our customers have a choice of Red or Black, quality top coats.
From a small path to a complete driveway, forecourt or car park, we have the resources and equipment to cater for all your tarmac driveway needs.
